Clinical Exercise Classes for All Bodies

Clinical Exercise (which incorporates Clinical Pilates) suits everyone, no matter your age or fitness level. The team at Melbourne Physiotherapy, Pilates, and Fitness group is here to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, whether you have an injury, are in rehabilitation, or want to improve your function and participation in life.

Whether you work in an office, run around after your children, or spend your free time golfing, gardening, or dancing, a Clinical Exercise program – which can include Clinical Pilates – may help you maintain and improve your physical health as well as your general well-being.

What is Clinical Exercise?

Clinical Exercise combines therapeutic and remedial exercises that are designed to treat a specific injury or condition. Using evidence-based research, it focuses on the re-training and recruitment of deep stabilising muscles, as well as improving posture, coordination, strength, and flexibility.

During Clinical Exercise classes, key areas for improvement will be identified and addressed through the application of carefully selected exercises. This ensures optimal gains whilst minimising the likelihood of aggravating the injury or condition.

The skilled practitioners at Melbourne Physiotherapy, Pilates, and Fitness Group will work with you to manage and address your particular condition to improve and maintain function.

Clinical Exercise: What to Expect

1. Physiotherapy Assessment

One of our qualified Physiotherapists will conduct a 45-minute one-on-one assessment. They’ll use this time to get to know you, your goals, any injuries or conditions you’re experiencing, and your current level of fitness.

2. Tailor-Made Program

We take all of this information and craft an individualised program that specifically targets your needs.

3. Join a Class

You may be invited to join one of our small group Clinical Pilates classes at our Fitzroy Street location, which has a maximum of 4 participants. Our small group classes ensure that you will receive plenty of one-on-one attention from your therapist.

Your class will run for 60 minutes approximately twice per week in a 6 to 12-week cycle (depending on your exercise program and your goals).
