Pregnancy and childbirth place unique physical demands on the body, particularly for new mothers preparing for their first child. These demands are eased by being suitably prepared as much as possible, including safely strengthening and training of the pelvic, lumbar and core muscle groups which experience the greatest strain. Continued exercise and strengthening after childbirth is equally important to regain muscle tone and control.
We also offer assessment and treatment for -:
- Inflammatory breast conditions, such as Mastitis,
- Pregnancy related pain and;
- Pelvic floor related dysfunction.
Real-Time Ultrasound can be used to help patients identify their level of function and use it to improve pelvic floor and core rehabilitation
