Background
Drawn to Physiotherapy through her passion for competitive sport, and her interest in Anatomy, Brooke graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2021. Brooke is currently undertaking further study in the Master of Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy, to further develop specialised skills in the management of elite and high-performance athletes.
Brooke has vast experience managing acute sporting injuries through her work at Old Melburnians FC (VAFA), and Williamstown FC (VFL). She is skilled at treating acute and chronic spinal injuries and has worked with clients of all ages and exercise backgrounds to reduce pain, improve movement, and retrain core, spinal and pelvic stability.
Brooke has an empathetic approach to therapy, and following movement analysis and physical assessment, collaborates with her clients to develop tailored treatment plans for each individual. She combines manual therapy (Joint Mobilisations, Massage, Dry Needling) and clinical exercise (Strength, Conditioning and Pilates), to achieve optimal results for her clients. Brooke also educates individuals on self-management strategies to prevent future injury.
As a Certified GLA:D practitioner, Brooke leads the GLA:D – Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis program at MPPFG, and is one of the leading practitioners of our GetBack Spinal Strengthening program.
Outside of work, Brooke has competed in CrossFit competitions, is a Black Belt in Martial Arts (Jiu-Jitsu) and enjoys trying new restaurants with family and friends.
