Therapies and Services

Manipulative physiotherapy involves:

  • Spinal and peripheral joint therapy including mobilisation.
    • Mobilisation is gentle to firm small movements of a joint to improve movement and reduce pain.
  • Manipulation, stretching traction.
    • Manipulation is short, high velocity movement of a joint to relieve stiffness and locking - often a small click is heard.
  • Soft tissue treatment.
    • Soft tissue treatment may involve massage and frictions - short high intensity massage over a small area, and the release of trigger points.
  • Suitable exercise regimes for specific musculo-skeletal conditions.
