New Community Programs With Port Phillip City Council

In collaboration with the Port Phillip City Council, MPPFG will be launching three new community programs with a focus on low-cost exercise, health and wellness.

These programs are:

Learn to Run The Beach

This is a running group aimed at runners wanting to learn about running technique in regards to injury prevention and running performance. This is not your usual running group. A Physiotherapist will oversee each run, provide advice on running technique and will be available after each run to answer questions.

Cost: ≥$2

When: Tuesdays at 6:30pm

Over 50s Pilates

A Pilates class aimed at people aged 50 years and over who are looking for a social environment to increase their fitness, maintain an active lifestyle or who are in later-stage injury recovery. The class will focus on isolation exercises, core stability, strength and compound movements. The class will include a regular coffee at the local café after the class!

*Suitable for general aches and pains.

Cost: $10

When: Thursdays at 12pm

Diet & Exercise: The Pillars to a Healthy Life

Everyone has an opinion on diet and exercise – but what about the professionals!? This hour long lecture style information session with Dietitian, Isabella Russo, and Exercise Physiologist, Emily Camenzuli, will debunk the myths and explore the facts on how to lead a healthy life. Open to the Public. Seats are limited.
